Here's a little background information to help you diagnose this no-spark condition. In a nutshell, when the system is working properly and you turn the key to crank and start your Ford car or truck: The distributor shaft starts to rotate which causes the PIP (Profile Ignition Pickup) sensor to start generating its crankshaft position signal.

I know the sensor bolts on in one position and I used a genuine ford part, the cam sensor is generic. The reason I'm looking for this info is, I am using an AEM stand alone ems and it's getting a sparadic signal from the crank sensor and the air gap is 0.080 - 0.090" too big according to the aem tuner.
